Overview:
Reporting to the Regional Safety & Security Manager, this position supports the safety and security policies and procedures of the Company, through safety and security audits, investigations and training of Wendy's personnel to reduce the quantity and severity of accidents and reduce asset losses.
Specific Accountabilities:
- Assuring the achievement of safety results by periodically conducting on-site safety audits and surveys
- Conducting or overseeing safety and security training for Wendy's staff, Multi Unit Operations, store level managers and employees to ensure knowledge of and compliance with Wendy's safety and security policies and procedures.
- Assuring the achievement of security results by periodically conducting on-site security and cash control audits
- Working with the insurance carrier, third party administrator, corporate risk and human resources to support claims administration and achieve quality cost control for the company
- Coordinating with law enforcement agencies and third party vendors to achieve timely education and resolution to security related incidents and issues
- Providing oversight into the establishment of safety representatives, district safety coordinators and area safety coordinators in field operations
- Conducting or directing the timely reporting and investigation of criminal activity impacting Wendy's, determining the cause of activity and recommending follow up action
- Supporting the achievement of Wendy's business goals and objectives through proactive partnership with field, corporate, and vendor partners, ensuring safety and security perspectives are included in local decision making
Qualifications
Education / Experience:
- College degree preferred, or equivalent combination of education and experience
- 3 - 5 years of experience in restaurant operations management risk management, security management or related position
- Knowledge of both safety and security disciplines procedures/policies, state occupational injury laws, Workers' Compensation laws, fire, health, OSHA regulations and EEO/AA
- Ability to maintain the current technical skills needed to provide sound recommendations to operations personnel in achieving objectives
