Overview

Reporting to the Director, Media, this role teams with brand marketing, research and new product development to develop and manage all local media test market plans, guidelines and budgets; reviews and approves all test buys, addresses any local posting issues; and assists the Director in developing detailed local media planning and buying guidelines and provides council to field marketing as needed.

Specific Accountabilities Include

• Developing local media plan for each media test, including flighting, media mix, TRP levels for each medium and budget based on business test objectives / brand briefs / CCI and national launch plans.
• Providing media detail on all markets being considered for local market tests to research team to help determine appropriate markets for each test.
• Reviewing all test market buys to ensure schedules are of high quality, cost effective and consistent across all test markets
• Orchestrating local media post auditing system by working with post buy vendor, field marketing and local agencies to ensure guidelines are enforced
• Supporting the Director in developing detailed planning and buying guidelines for all local media
• Preparing and presenting Media 101 seminars to field and marketing staff

Qualifications

Education / Experience

• BS or BA in Marketing, Advertising, Business Administration or related field
• 5 years experience in media buying with an advertising agency or corporate media department
• Strong understanding of media terminology and media buying process
