• Investigating, managing, and resolving CGL claims in-house through reimbursement of customer expenses where appropriate
• Investigating, managing, and resolving automobile liability claims
• Providing strategic direction and reserving/settlement recommendations to the Company's third party claims administrator
• Analyzing general liability and automobile liability claim trends and providing recommendations to reduce claim frequency
• Representing the company at off-site claim mediations and trials
• Supporting the Risk Management department on risk-related projects

This position will be based at The Wendy's Company headquarters in Dublin, a suburb of Columbus, OH. The Wendy's Company is the world's second largest quick-service hamburger company. The Wendy's system includes more than 6,500 franchise and Company restaurants in the U.S. and 25 other countries and U.S. territories worldwide.

Note: Training for this position will be conducted in our Atlanta Office and therefore will require periodic travel to Atlanta over a 60-day period.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree (preferably in Risk Management & Insurance)
• Three or more years of experience working in a claims environment
• A working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel and Word
• Experience using a risk management information system
• A strong knowledge of products liability, premises liability, automobile liability, and other tort, laws, rules, and regulations
• Basic knowledge of insurance policies and terms, especially commercial general liability and automobile insurance
• Experience using the Riskmaster™ risk management information system is preferred
• Industry designations such as AIC is preferred
